I had previously attended Steps with a child I cared for and so was very familiar with the sessions and what Steps has to offer. However, I still felt very anxious when attending my first session with my son, but it was so nice to see Alfie didn't appear different like he does at other baby groups.
Alfie has low muscle tone, cerebral palsy and development delay. His disabilities have a huge impact as daily life for Alfie is so different to that of his twin sister so trying to include both children in everything is hard.
Alfie absolutely loves the Steps sessions and seeing everyone, he seems stronger and more determined to do things. His rolling, propping and bridging have improved and he is now commando crawling.
Attending Steps has been amazing for me to, I've connected with a number of other parents through Steps.
