Dear Parents/Carers and Supporters of Steps,
It is with great sadness that I have to tell you all of the death of Professor Len Cantor. Len first became involved with Steps twentyone years ago and was one of the founders of our great charity. He loved the children and worked tirelessly over the years to help make Steps the success it is today.
Len became the Chairman of Steps several years ago and helped to make the difference to many children’s lives during his time in office. He was also an Emeritus Professor of Loughborough University and President of the Leicestershire branch of the campaign to Protect Rural England.
In the last two years Len stepped down from being Chairman at Steps and Mr John Montague is now holding that position. Len still continued to be part of the Trustee Board of Steps at this time and only retired from this position a few months ago.
Len was a great person who held Steps in high esteem, he will be sadly missed by our Trustees, staff team and the families that were fortunate enough to meet with him. We would like to pass on to Len’s family at this time our condolences and
